About the Position: Care Tech | Full Time | Days Shift

The Care Technician assists nurses in providing health care to patients. When a patient is first admitted to Vail Health, you will likely be their first point-of-contact and a liaison between the patients and their providers. You will measure vital signs, monitor the health and well-being of patients, keep accurate records, and assist with patients’ basic needs. In order to achieve optimal patient outcomes, you will need to promptly report any changes to the registered nurse or physician. You will need to be available for regular check-ins with your patients, to transport them to different departments as needed, and to educate patients and their family on the care and therapies being provided.

The Care Philosophy

Vail Health places the patient and family at the center of the organizational focus. This model, known as Relationship-Based Care (RBC), enables patients to be active participants in their health care.

Relationship-Based Care (RBC) has three components:
  • Our relationships with patients and families
  • Our relationships with ourselves
  • Our relationships with our co-workers
