About the Position

The Sterile Processing Educator at Vail Health is responsible for developing, planning, implementing, and evaluating various educational programs in order to meet the needs of the Sterile Processing Department. In order to meet these needs, the Sterile Processing Educator needs to maintain open and active communication with clinical, non-clinical, and support staff across various departments. This will enable the Educator to aide in the professional development of all staff and ensure the overall competency of Vail Health's staff. The Sterile Processing Educator will also oversee quality and infection control initiatives within the Sterile Processing Department. Finally, the Educator will also need to provide a comprehensive orientation, education, and training program to all new hires in the department.
