Vail Health is looking for an experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Stephanie, Director of Clinics, Talks About the Different Clinics, Practices, and Services At Vail Health

About the Position

At Vail Health, the Clinical Laboratory Scientist studies and analyzes various samples and specimens from our patients in order to identify the root cause of any abnormalities as well as determine the nature and type of disease, illness, bacteria, or other contributing factors. You will work closely with other lab staff and report to the lab supervisor. In addition to writing reports that summarize your findings, you will also need to regularly update laboratory logs in order to track the movement of samples and specimens so these can be quickly accessed when needed. As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will need to calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment as well as follow safe handling and quality control processes. This is needed in order to maintain lab safety while potentially working with dangerous viruses and bacteria and to prevent cross-contamination of any specimens or samples.
