About the Position

The Cardiology Registered Nurse helps diagnose and treat various conditions that affect the pulmonary and circulatory systems. When a patient first visits the cardiology clinic, you will need to perform diagnostics, and other specialized tests as needed, as well as obtain the patient's medical history and records. Depending on the patient's needs, you may focus on preventative medicine and patient education or help with postoperative rehabilitation. In regards to preventative medicine and patient education, you will need to effectively educate a patient and their family on how to manage cardiovascular diseases as well as dietary restrictions and other measures that minimize the risk of negative outcomes.

The Cardiology Clinic at Vail Health

Vail Health's Cardiovascular Center specializes in heart and vascular health, providing comprehensive diagnostic testing and medical management of coronary disease, hypertension, lipid disorders, arrhythmia, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathies and congestive heart failure. Additional services include pacemaker implantation, pre-operative evaluation and anticoagulation services, as well as cardiac rehabilitation and comprehensive screening physicals for young athletes.

  • Days - Monday to Friday


  • 1 year of RN experience 
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado or from a valid compact state 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • RCIS Preferred
