Frequently Asked Questions

Varying shifts to meet the business need. Most shifts are 12 hours to include 0645-1915, 1045-2315, 1145-0015 and 1845-0715. Other shifts may be assigned on an as needed basis.

Occasionally there are overtime shifts available. There is often opportunity to pick up additional call shifts.

We follow the AORN recommended guidelines for OR staffing. We currently have 4 OR suites. We run all 4 operating rooms 0730-2300 M-F.

On-call response time to the hospital is 30 minutes. Call requirements vary but currently are 24 hours of call in a 6-week schedule.

Weekend work shifts are typically covered by seasonal staff. Weekend call (to include Friday nights) is required and chosen on a rotating basis. Current call requirements are 24 hours per 6 week schedule.
